Hi, I’m still Susan Leighton. You may remember me. Full time Writer, Part time Explorer, All the time Groovy chick? No? That’s okay. My series in the 80’s was short lived along with “Manimal” but I digress. It’s been a year since I quit my job and started writing full time. What a crazy ride it’s been!
I’m still on the ledge but this time I am getting ready to make a leap into uncharted waters. There’s some changes coming and I can’t wait to share them with you, my constant readers. Okay, so I “borrowed” this phrase from the Master, Stephen King. I’m sure he won’t mind. If he does, I will just get my crack legal team to sort it out. After all, why are they on the payroll?
Anyway, I am going to introduce some fun times here on this old blog. One of the segments I will be featuring is “Hangin’ on the Ledge.” This will be a monthly guest post starring some of my awesomely talented writer friends. I am very fortunate that they all agreed to provide me with material considering they are published and stuff. It’s not like I coerced them or anything…….this isn’t a Joe Pesci type situation.
You will also get more of my “Letters to (insert random names)” series. Yes, I am bringing that back because they are fun to write and let’s face it, who doesn’t like making fun of celebrities and other notable personalities?
I will also be doing some helpful and informative listicles on various topics because you can never have enough good advice in this world or good wine or good liquor for that matter. Which reminds me. It’s Tom Collins time. Mama needs another cocktail.
Finally, and I am very excited about this little number, I am going to try a serial feature. Think of it as a movie on cable (like Sharknado or Alien Apocalypse) or that super cool show that no one but you and your friends like on a network that no one has heard of or has access to unless they have the satellite dish that SETI uses on top of their house. I am hard at work crafting that one and am looking forward to debuting it in the near future.
In all seriousness, thank you for making this effort of mine enjoyable. Your constant feedback and encouragement is extremely important to me and I am very grateful.
